Man jailed for 26 weeks after injuring woman in attack

A MAN who attacked a woman, causing her actual bodily harm, has been jailed for 26 weeks.

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Ashley Entwistle, aged 33, of Newton Walk, Bolton, admitted committing the offence on September 27.

At the time he was subject to a community sentence after he damaged the woman's windows and sent her offensive messages.

Magistrates told him his latest offending is more serious because of his previous criminal record.

In addition to the jail sentence, Entwistle was ordered to pay his victim £150 in compensation and a restraining order was made banning him from contacting her or going to Worcester Street, Bolton, for two years.
