Bolton Wanderers v Liverpool U21 - team news from the UniBol

IAN Evatt has named his starting XI for Wanderers’ Papa John’s Trophy clash with Liverpool Under-21s.

Evatt’s men enter the game on the back of a 2-1 win against Shrewsbury at the weekend thanks to goals from Antoni Sarcevic and Dapo Afolayan.

The Whites recorded a 3-2 victory against League Two Port Vale in their Group D opener last month.

Meanwhile, Barry Lewtas’ young Reds suffered a 4-0 defeat against Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena in their opening fixture.

Both sides failed to make it past the group stage last season, with Liverpool losing all three of their matches.

Lewtas is permitted to name two players over the age of 21 as long as they have made more than 40 senior appearances.

Here's how the sides line-up.

Bolton: Gilks, Brockbank, Aimson, Baptiste, Gordon, Comley, Sheehan, Thomason, Isgrove, Kachunga, Delfouneso

Subs: Dixon, Johnston, Bakayoko, Tweedley, Conway, Henry, Pettifer

Liverpool: Pitaluge, Gallacher, Wilson, Quansah, Phillips, Ritaccio, Corness, Morton, Bearne, Dixon-Bonner, Woltman

Subs: Kelly, Mabaya, Cannonier, Koumetio
