Education Minister Stephen Lecce said in a statement Monday that vaccination is a critical step in ensuring schools remain open to in-class learning for the full academic year.
âAs part of the last mile campaign to reach as many students and staff as possible and to keep schools as safe as possible, we are requiring school boards and public health units to roll out clinics in or close to schools,â Lecce said.

Article contentOntario reported 526 new cases of COVID-19 Monday â" almost 22% in the fully vaccinated â" but no additional deaths.
Provincial data indicated that 353 cases were in the unvaccinated, 133 in the double dosed and 60 in the partially vaccinated.
Public health officials say that while the virus, especially the delta variant, can break through even in the fully vaccinated, the rate of serious illness and death declines dramatically in that group.
The reporting of hospital data tends to lag following the weekend but the most recent information shows 119 people in intensive care recovering from COVID-19, including 66 on ventilators, down sharply from the height of the third wave.
